Lyon Distilling Company is Maryland's premier craft distillery, producing truly artisan spirits by hand on the Eastern Shore in Saint Michaels, MD. Distiller & Co-Founder Ben Lyon transforms raw ingredients into splendid liquor, step by step, in ultra small batches, using traditional pot stills. Lyon launched in 2013 with a signature line of rums - arguably the most authentic, original American spirit - distilled from organic molasses and sugar cane, in batches of less than 100 bottles each. Lyon currently offers three distinct rums: 90 proof raw, unfiltered White Rum, 90 proof rich, smoky, caramelized Dark Rum, and 100 proof Sailors Reserve Barrel-Aged Rum. Extremely small batches of corn whiskey & rye whiskey are distilled and aged on site, and released on rare occasion. Both the Lyon New Make Corn Whiskey (unaged) and the Lyon Free State Maryland Rye (both unaged & aged varieties) are bottled at 100 proof.
